Our Mission
Our mission is to provide a safe, caring, and inclusive environment where every child and family feels respected, valued, and supported. We prepare children for kindergarten and lifelong learning by fostering independence, confidence, and growth in all areas: academic, social, emotional, and physical. Through play, creativity, and hands-on experiences, we spark curiosity, encourage problem-solving, and nurture kindness and empathy. We celebrate diversity, honour family partnerships, and create a community where every child can thrive and reach their full potential.
Preschool Progam
Our morning preschool program helps children build confidence, independence, and early academic skills in a calm, structured environment. With thoughtfully planned learning, small group support, and consistent routines, children grow socially and academically while preparing for a smooth transition into kindergarten.

Additional Closures:
In addition to statutory holidays, Gentle Giants Daycare observes the following scheduled closures each year:

Winter Break: Two weeks, aligned with the official School District 33 calendar. Exact dates will be provided to families once published by the school district.

Summer Break: One week, scheduled during the last week of July.
All closure dates will be communicated to families in advance to ensure adequate notice and planning.
Snow Day and Closure Policy:
Gentle Giants Daycare follows the Chilliwack School District for weather-related closures, including snow, ice, heat, or power outages. Families will be notified by email, text, the school app, or social media between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. on closure days.
Affordable Child Care Benefit & Child Care Operating Funding
Gentle Giants Daycare participates in government programs, including the Affordable Child Care Benefit (ACCB) and Child Care Operating Funding (CCOF).
